Sun and Moon Captured at Celle

1982 – painted wood and iron

In the villa’s top floor, visitors must pass by this work from a narrow hallway. The room is entirely filled with a the giant mousetrap wedged between three walls. The moon, presented as a crescent and resembling a curved scythe blade, climbs onto the sun in an attempt to escape from the top of the trap.
