1987 – steel
Located near a carved stone fountain, the site chosen by the artist is removed from the main paths of the park and is found in a clearing that can be reached only by narrow trails. The piece is composed of thick, irregular rings in galvanized steel, fitting one over the other. The pieces start small on either end, increasing in size and meeting in the middle. Juxtaposed with this biomorphic form is the sound of water falling, which reinforces the reference to prehistoric fossils, larvae and other shells discarded by living creatures.
