2016 – bronze
Composer and visual artist Daniele Lombardi has created a bronze door for the eighteenth -century Chapel of the Villa Celle. The monumental portal is faced with the musical notation, in relief, of one of his original compositions titled Vergine Madre (Virgin Mother). Inspired by the last Canto of Dante’s Inferno, the piece is part of a larger project known as Divina.com. One of the Porta sonora’s particular characteristics is that, each time the Chapel door opens, visitors hear the recording of the music as played by violinist Francesco D’Orazio.
