The Gori collection dedicated to environmental art now counts 50 outdoor installations located in the 19th century park, the olive groves and over 30 works placed in the interiors of the farm and in some farm houses. That of Giuliano Gori has been a different kind of collecting from the traditional one, collecting means following the work from the first moment it is conceived by the artist, being able to follow it through the phases of realisation, collaborating with the artists in solving every organisational and technical obstacle for the success of the work.

Thus, since 1980, artists have been hosted in Celle for the time necessary to realise the work. The artist first chooses the location for the work, knows that he cannot change it and that it will become an integral part of the work forever. This is how art becomes a dialogue with the space, with the history of the place, with the client.

Giuliano Gori has always kept in mind his friend Carlo Belli’s definition ‘The rights of art arise where those of nature end’.
