Hossein Golba (Babol, 1956 – )

After his solo exhibition Scolpireil tempo IX [Sculpting Time IX] held at Cascina Terrarossa in the summer of 1996, Hossein Golba was commissioned to design several fountains to provide drinking water at various points in the park itinerary. His seven Fountains of Love quench the thirst of visitors at Celle as well as at the Boboli Gardens in Florence where, in 2000, Giuliano Gori donated, upon request from the Superintendent of Fine Arts,  a second series of these sculpture-fountains. This donation was presented in the exhibition Diversità è valore, which opened on October 6, 2000, at Palazzo Pitti. Subsequently, a golden cup drawn by Golba became the label for “Il Cardinale,” a Tuscan IGT wine produced by the Fattoria di Celle.
