COLLEZIONE GORI

First Celle Art and Nature Poetry Prize

For the first edition (2019-20), the prize was unanimously awarded to Antonella Anedda, who stayed for a short time in Celle, with alternating encounters with the artist Christiane Löhr, resulting in a very valuable volume printed in 0/99 copies.
In order to perpetuate the welcome memory of the event, Antonella Anedda planted a red maple tree in the park, which starts an avenue dedicated to poetry.

The book summarises a journey of friendship and human and intellectual exchanges, each page preserving the memory of details matured in Celle that, as Antonella Anedda has written on another occasion, can be transformed into a further land, glimpsed by a gaze unencumbered by any habit.
A dialogue between the two artists gives rise to a continuous flow of thoughts and images capable of going beyond the physical boundaries of this publication.

Christiane Löhr, an artist who has always been interested in the universe of plants, seems to have chosen to make the lifeblood of the plant world visible. The beauty and intelligence of her work happily conversed with the vastness of Antonella Anedda’s gaze.
